Design an innovative and sustainable package for fruits which could be used for smoothies.

solution

We solved this problem by designing a package which was made entirely from cardboard, which protected the fruits well, functioned as a disposable cutting board, and was optimized for transport to cut in cost and CO2 emissions.

We delivered an idea which stunned the client. We presented the idea to the client in an official presentation and gave the client a physical prototype.

PROBLEM:

Currently there is not a product which contains fresh ingredients for a drink like a smoothie, milkshake or juice. There are ready made drinks in bottles, but no meal boxes of some sort where the consumer can buy the box and at home make a fresh drink.

RESEARCH:

After field research and field trips we could start making sketches and ideas. Thought went into designing a package where you could see the fresh fruit and where the product was eyecatching.

SOLUTION:

The Smoothie Cutting Box was the solution! It ticked all the required boxes. Sustainable, easily recyclable, multi use due to its integrated cutting board, easy to carry, efficient to transport flat and folded open, efficient to assemble in the packing plant, easy to produce and the package stands out in the shelves!
